disperse! heightens our awareness of human agency in the transformation of our environment through a cycle of active disturbance. The indeterminate outcome of topography and plant composition is a direct result of actions taken by participants on site. This project demonstrates the dynamic, arbitrary and often violent nature of plant dispersal and human intervention.

Designed in a unique “Persian” style by Welles Bosworth, 1912 for Samuel Untermyer. Photos include mosaics from pool, mosaic from amphitheater, gatehouse in ruins, and 2000-year-old columns originally imported into the USA by Stanford White.

I am a landscape architect and landscape historian. My research revolves around the invocation and application of scientific principles, including nativity, succession and forestry, to landscape design. I explore landscape through a variety of media such as text, landscape design, drawing, mapping, collage, and three-dimensional works. I maintain a balance between physical engagement, research and design, and frequently create interdisciplinary collaborations with my colleagues.
